Life Cycle

There are those that yearn to lose themselves in others, who become a crutch to lean on so that they may avoid holding a mirror to their own fears and insecurities.
Life Cycle is a commentary on how we can easily fall victim to obsession and dependency, forcing ourselves into someone else’s space of existence when in cycles of lust or love, while chasing the validation of being acknowledged as part of their lives.
Using frame-by-frame animation and audio composition, I give invitation to a voyeuristic depiction of the intense experience of how a need for validation can cause us to lose ourselves to the compulsion of pushing our way into these spaces we carve out, in hopes of hiding from how we truly feel about ourselves.
